Terms of Service

Effective June 11, 2026 · Last updated June 11, 2026

These Terms govern your use of World, by Freeframe (the "Service"), operated by Freeframe ("we," "us") at world.freeframe.ai. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. Questions: world@freeframe.ai.

1. What the Service is

World is a generative narrative game. You sign in, set up a profile, and play one or more "lives", which are interactive stories that respond to your choices. The Service uses AI models (large language models, image generators, video generators) to write the narrative, draw the spaces you visit, and produce short immersive video clips.

The content you encounter is generated procedurally. Two different players will have two different experiences. Even you, replaying, will not get the same life twice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If we discover an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it.

3. Your account

You sign in using Google. You are responsible for the security of your Google account and for all activity that occurs under your account on the Service. If you suspect unauthorized access, email world@freeframe.ai immediately.

The Service is designed to be used on one device at a time. If you open the Service on a second device while signed in elsewhere, you will be prompted to take over the session, which signs you out on the first.

4. Payments, tokens, and refunds

When you create an account, you receive one free starter life. After your first life passes its mid-point, you must either redeem a token or pay $20 (USD) to continue. Each subsequent life requires another token or payment.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.

Because the Service delivers digital content that is consumed as you play, all sales are final and non-refundable, except where required by law. If you believe a payment was charged incorrectly (e.g., you were charged twice, or the unlock did not apply), email world@freeframe.ai and we will investigate.

Tokens are non-transferable, have no cash value, and may not be resold or exchanged. We may issue tokens directly to specific users (e.g., for press, beta access, or support resolution) at our discretion.

5. Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice. We may also remove specific generated content at our discretion.

6. Your content; AI-generated content

You retain ownership of the inputs you provide (your typed responses, your profile fields, your wishes). By using the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, and display those inputs to the extent necessary to operate the Service.

The narrative, images, and video clips generated for you by the Service are produced by third-party AI models based on your inputs. We do not claim copyright over your generated lives. You may share screenshots or clips of your gameplay for personal, non-commercial purposes. Commercial reuse requires our written permission.

We do not use your gameplay content to train AI models.

7. AI limitations and disclaimers

The Service uses generative AI, which can produce unexpected, inconsistent, or imperfect output. The narrative, characters, and places are fictional. Any resemblance to real persons, places, or events is coincidental.

The Service is not a substitute for therapy, medical advice, legal advice, financial advice, or any other professional service. Do not rely on it as such.

Occasionally, the Service may fail to generate content (an empty video, a stalled scene, a rejected image). We try to recover gracefully and let you retry, but we do not guarantee that every request will succeed.

8. Changes to the Service

We may change, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any feature of it at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice for significant changes. If we permanently shut down the Service, we will give you the opportunity to request a copy of your saved lives before they are deleted.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete your account by emailing world@freeframe.ai.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or pose a risk to other users or our systems. Where reasonable, we will notify you before doing so.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your expectations, that any generated content will be accurate or appropriate, or that the Service will be free from errors, defects, or interruptions.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Freeframe, its founders, employees, contractors, or service providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $50 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Freeframe and its representatives from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You and Freeframe agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify you in-app or by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
